Comentaries on the Nature of Life and Reincantion
Trusted Communications – Commentaries on the nature of life, past lives, and reincarnation
Heads Up folks – this is Alan’s religion – if you will.
There is a fundamental aspect to reality that is probably just below that of sub-atomic particle physics. Particle physicists, scientists and cosmologists spend a lot of time and studying and making conjectures about what is the “fundamental” nature of reality. They talk about quarks, leptons, muons, bosons and other spaces like dark matter or dark energy. But they never talk about where the soul exist or how people interact with their individual souls. I propose there is another space called the “astral” as the nominally not visible space where “heaven”, “gods”, and “spirits” actually reside. Maybe the “astral” is just another name for dark matter. Sometimes I and others of my kind will make references to the “etheric” as another name for the “astral”.
So, what do I believe is at the fundamental level below that of sub-atomic particle physics ? For me and others it is all about past lives and reincarnation. My core beliefs: -these are religious concepts – several are related to “Evolutionary Astrology”
· All souls are eternal, essentially immortal in spirit, perhaps until reunified with the source of all creation.· In addition to being eternal they are imbued with free will – as per Emanuel Swedenborg.· The eternal soul resides in the astral space and nominally seeks reunification with source.· At the time of each soul’s creation, source also imbues each soul with two conflicting sets of desires. o The first set of desires is separation from source. o The second set of desires is a return to source. o These are core concepts of Evolutionary Astrology.
· All of the first set of desires have to be fully discharged before the soul can return to source.· The only way to discharge the separating desires is through residency in the physical.· Residency in the physical is achieved via a rather long series of incarnations.· There is such a thing as a soul’s “first” incarnation, followed by “successive” incarnations.· Life is all about past lives and reincarnation.· Separating desires can only be discharged or burned off while incarnated in the physical.
Some of my quibbles that are related to the above bullet points:
· There are several kinds of entities in the astral: o Regulars – those in the process of incarnating in the physical via birth. o Angels – those who have “never” (quibble) incarnated and are like “staff” to source. o Malevolent – those who have incarnated but desire instead to feed or inhabit. o Personalities – those once alive and working to rejoin with their soul and become inactive. o Inactives – those rejoined with the soul and are nominally not accessible.
· Malevolent entities have a desire to just remain in the astral and “feed” off of physical sensation. o They are like invisible vampires – they feed off of those living in the physical. o They may have incarnated just once, or a few times, but have quit the process. o They can tap into the incarnated and “feed” for just a short instant or a bit longer. o They can cohabitate or invade an incarnated “person” and stay for long durations of time. o They can do this singularly or in groups – many such stories of this are in the Bible.
· There are ways for the incarnated to protect themselves from the Malevolent. o Humans are just one example of a regular incarnated person. o Aliens are other examples of incarnated living beings.
Emanuel Swedenborg (1688-1772) was a “psychic” of sorts in Sweden and supported the idea that souls are eternal in existence. Intrinsic to this is the concept of free will. His analogy is that of a coin having two sides: { eternal existence :: free will } with the observation or claim that one cannot exist without the other. There being no such thing as a one-sided coin or a magnetic monopole.
One can argue that the “eternal” aspect of existence might be fudged a bit. If the soul’s intended action is reunification with source, then does the soul continue to exist or is its contents reabsorbed by source to disappear from view? This is probably an academic argument as existence over many multiple of billions of years is essentially an indication of immortality in the astral.
So, what does “return to source” actually mean? The science fiction author James Blish suggests that “return” may in fact be becoming one’s own “source of all creation” in their own private universe. See his novel “Cities in Flight”, in the final chapter of “The Triumph of Time”, very last page where the story protagonist Amalfi is doing exactly that. Here are some excerpts from that page 596:
Now he was alone and he must do what he must do. …
That was unknowable. But the unknowable was what he wanted. He brought his hand down again. There was no reason to delay, Retma had already pronounced the epitaph for Man. We did not have the time to learn everything that we wanted to know. “So be It.” Amalfi said. He touched the button over his heart.
Creation began.
The argument that we can be the creator of our own universe implies that we have to be ready to do so. It is the ultimate responsibility.
